That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:10). He wants you to live an exemplary life, so fruitful in every good work that others would testify of God's goodness in your life. The Word declares in Psalms 1:1-3 Happy are those who reject the advice of evil people, who do not follow the example of sinners or join those who have no use for God. Instead, they find joy in obeying the Law of the Lord, and they study it day and night. They are like trees that grow beside a stream, that bear fruit at the right time, and whose leaves do not dry up. They succeed in everything they do. This is God’s testimony of you, and similar to what the Lord Jesus said in John 15:5: “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit….” “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain….” The Lord Jesus is the Vine, and we are the branches. That means we’re His extension, His glory and beauty. The glory of any plant is in the branches, for that's the fruit-bearing part of the vine. If Jesus, therefore, is the Vine, and we are the branches, it means His glory is seen in us; His fruits are borne by us.

2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. This is one of the signs that you’re a Christian: being fruitful and productive in all things! Otherwise, your salvation, and the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life, will be called to question. It’s our heritage to be fruitful in all things! It makes no difference what's been assigned to you, you can superimpose the quality and content of your spirit on it, causing it to prosper and excel. How do we become fruitful in all that we do?It’s by increasing in the knowledge of God’s Word. Live the Word. Programme your spirit with the Word through meditation, Timothy 4:15: Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. , .and the result will be your prosperity and success!. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.(시 1:2, 1:1,3). ​ 말씀을 살아내십시오. 모든 선한 일에서 열매를 맺는 것과 하나님을 아는 것에 자라나는 것은 우리를 향한 하나님의 열망입니다. 주께 합당하게 행하여 범사에 기쁘시게 하고 모든 선한 일에 열매를 맺게 하시며 하나님을 아는 것에 자라게 하시고(골 1:10). 하나님께서는 우리가 모범적인 삶을 살기를 원하십니다. 그래서 사람들이 우리의 삶에 있는 하나님의 선하심을 증언할 정도로 모든 선한 일에서 열매 맺는 삶을 살기를 원하십니다. 시편 1:1-3은 말씀합니다. 행복한 사람은 악인의 충고를 거절하는 사람이며, 죄인이나 하나님을 싫어하는 자들의 본을 따르지 않는 사람들입니다. 대신 그들은 하나님의 법을 순종하는 데서 기쁨을 찾고, 그 법을 밤낮으로 공부합니다. 그들은 시냇가에서 자라는 나무 같아서, 제때 열매를 맺고, 그 잎사귀가 마르지 않습니다. 그들은 하는 모든 일에서 성공합니다. 이것은 하나님께서 우리를 증거하시는 말씀입니다. 이는 주 예수님께서 요한복음 15:5에서 나는 포도나무요 너희는 가지라 그가 내 안에, 내가 그 안에 거하면 사람이 열매를 많이 맺나니 라고 하신 말씀과 비슷합니다. 성경은 이어서 이렇게 말씀합니다. 너희가 나를 택한 것이 아니요 내가 너희를 택하여 세웠나니 이는 너희로 가서 열매를 맺게 하고 또 너희 열매가 항상 있게 하여 내 이름으로 아버지께 무엇을 구하든지 다 받게 하려 함이라. 주 예수님은 포도나무이고 우리는 그의 가지입니다. 이것은 우리가 그분의 확장이요, 영광이며, 아름다움이라는 뜻입니다. 모든 식물의 영광은 가지에 있습니다. 가지가 나무의 열매 맺는 부분이기 때문입니다. 그러므로 예수님이 포도나무이고 우리가 가지라는 의미는 그분의 영광이 우리 안에서 나타나고 우리를 통해 열매 맺는다는 뜻입니다. 그러나 거울을 통해 보는 것같이 수건을 벗은 얼굴로 주의 영광을 보는 우리 모두는 주의 영으로 말미암은 것같이 영광에서 영광에 이르는 똑같은 형상으로 변모되느니라(고후 3:18). 우리가 모든 일에서 열매 맺고 결실하는 것은 우리가 그리스도인이라는 증거 중 하나입니다. 모든 일에서 열매 맺는 것은 우리의 기업입니다. 그러므로 우리는 무엇이든 맡겨진 일을 형통하고 탁월하게 함으로써 자신의 영의 열매 맺는 특성을 그 일에 덧입힐 수 있습니다. 어떻게 하면 우리 자신이 하는 모든 일에서 열매 맺도록 할 수 있을까요? 그것은 하나님의 말씀에 대한 지식의 증가로 이루어집니다. 말씀을 살아내십시오. 말씀을 묵상함으로 자신의 영을 말씀으로 프로그램하십시오. 이 일들을 묵상하고 이 일들에 전념하여 너의 진전이 모든 사람들에게 드러나게 하라(딤전 4:15). 그러면 그 결과 우리는 형통하고 성공할 것입니다. 그의 즐거움이 주의 법에 있으니, 그가 주의 법을 주야로 묵상하는도다. 복 있는 사람은 악인들의 간계를 따르지 아니하며, 죄인들의 길에 서지 아니하며, 조롱하는 자들의 자리에 앉지 아니하는도다. 그는 강가에 심겨진 나무 같아서 계절을 따라 열매를 맺으며, 그의 잎사귀도 마르지 아니하리니, 그가 무엇을 하든지 번성하리로다(시 1:2, 1:1,3).
